heres how I made my stock bumper a stubby, I just measured the ends cut them off and plastic welded them back on! not that bad but gotta be careful bc you only get one try!

I used the Rough country end caps $60. What do you use to weld the plastic, something like a soldering iron or wood burning set tools? I was looking at doing the same thing you did. I saw something similar except the ends were attached with self tapping screws. It gave it a really cool industrial look. I like the flat Rough Country caps better though.

That turned out nice with the plastic weld

thanks guys, I actually just went to harbor freight and bought a plastic welder their and used that, pretty easy to do! I might put some epoxy behind it just to make it really strong
