Damn, I should've waited for some story telling advice before I went out for a drive. I would've had a better story to tell the girlfriend then the truth... I won't live it down till the next one.

Now that you've got those Torx nuts pulled, no need to put them back on. It will make pulling the doors easier in the future (but you'll still have to be careful about letting the door swing too wide).

 

A door removal fail is when some idiot decides they are going to help you by putting your doors on while your outta town...then sawing them back and forth because they didn't clean out the mud and the leverage bends the metal door skin enough to crack the paint. That's a fail.
