Default A Few pics of wheeling in my new Jeep

North Shore on Oahu March of 2009

I might be stuck, wife is laughing and saying, "I told you so!"

I got out all by myself but you can see how high the mud line is

This is the small mud pit that caused my cooling fan to almost completely fail

Small steep hill climb, had to prove it to the wife the Jeep can make it up

I made it to the top, no problem

nice Jeep and nice pics, now besides you fan motor, I would wash out your radiator with a hose, the stock rads hold mud good and that looks like some real thick mud cloggin up the ac cond in front there. Also if you get stuck in mud like that and its deeper then your bell housing do not shift you will suck up mud into the clutch and kill it.

if you do ever kill the fan motor, as long as you keep your rpm's 2000 and below with the heat or defrost on full you can drive it without overheating

I did wash out the radiator and stuff when I got home right away because I know from previous Jeeps that I have own mud takes forever to clean when it drys and sticks. Took about 3 hours to get a good chunk of the mud off and about 3 more car washes later to get all of it. I got a dirty look from the guys who work security at the apartment I live in. I was making a very big mess in the car wash area where I live and I had to clean it up. Thanks for the tip about the clutch and about the fan motor. I only kept it in reverse and turn the wheel a lot to get myself out. The mud out here is pretty bad, very thick stuff. I saw a 98 Grand Cherokee 5.9L out there and he overheated badly, got a lot more mud than I did because he actually got stuck in it.
