Default Finally!

After sitting in my garage for the last month in boxes, I finally installed my AEV 2.5 lift, correction brackets, and Teraflex adjustable tire carrier. Had my AEV Pintlers put on with Duratrac 315/70/17s, programmed w/ Procal, trimmed the pinch seam, and after some sawing and driling I mounted the factory third brake light behind the spare. Bolted it securely through the 37" tire stud holes at the top of the mount. I wasn't at all crazy about TF's brake light mounting solution.

Sorry for the crappy iphone pics, but that's the extent of my photography skills! I measured so that it would fit flush right on top of the tire carrier mounting plate and drilled 1/2" holes to line up with the top stud holes which you would use for a 37" tire. I was able to use the 33" stud holes with my 315/70/17s since they measure out to 33.75". That left room to be able to use the top stud holes. I bolted it on and it's good to go!

The factory mount, once cut and bolted up against that mounting plate, will cause it to sit at a bit of an upward angle as you look at the light. But it wasn't so bad that I need to wedge anything in there to get it to sit up perfectly straight.

I installed the same adjustable tire carrier and the light will install in front of the tire if you use the long lug nuts that have threads in both ends it is in full view. You may have an older kit if you do not have them.
