Talking Finally got Fabin'!

Well after several months of non-stop work, I finally got a chance to work on my custom tire carrier. It's not finished yet, I need to grind down my welds, cut the flat mounting surface, prime and paint. I'm no expert fabricator, I mend human tissue not steel! This stuff aint easy. Here are a few pics, more to come tomorow with the finished product I hope

Had it on today to check clearances and everything fits great with my 38.5's. I'll take some pics tomorow.

looks good,
Can't wait to see the pictures...
But with 38s, is it strong enough ? Don't you need a 3rd led to the floor ?

Thanks guys, got all the clean-up done and just waiting for the paint to dry. Made this out of 1 1/2" tubing, very strong! With the angle that the tire sits at when itstalled, there is little lateral load and thus no 3rd leg is needed. Total weight of the carrier is 14lbs. I will say this about custom fabricating, it ain't easy nor is it cheap. But, it is very gratifying. Stay tuned for more pics.
