Wasn't even going to be in the surf but high tide was coming in and ended getting me while shooting. I sprayed it off well on the way home.

Quote: Always air down on the beach, u got lucky ,u will find yourself in a bad way one dayNot being a jerk but i have seen to many hero's stuck on the beach because they did not air down that includes jeeps.Just trying to help
I hear ya, I go there OFTEN and always air down - but this was a quick trip and I didn't get a compressor yet. You have to drive 20 miles to air up w/o one. I got a little crazy but nothing unfamilar.

Where were you on OBX? We go to HI several times/year and own a piece of land down there.

well, in the southern parts of the OBX where you are allowed on the beaches, like around Buxton, Hatteras, and on the island of Ocracoke, you are NOT allowed on the dunes. they have them clearly marked. and people driving on them has been one of many reason nature lovers are trying to shut the beach driving down in OBX.

that's why i said it looks like it was up near corolla. up there, there are no roads, and the beach is pratically open.
