It probably would not handle the load.... but having a removable winch/winch plate that fit in the center rod holders would be cool .

Options are a bit limited since i started with a Pure Jeep stubby. I have replaced the rod holders with some heavy wall pipe (.216) and am addng some supports to the bottom of the pipe segments so that I could use them for just aout anything. Combined with a tie into the shackles - it might work and could make it transportable to my son's TJ...

Any more Thoughts?

This thing is sweet. I would definitely remove fogs for winch.

If you frequently wheel in extreme conditions, then of course you need a winch. I only have my winch mounted during hunting season (and never have had to use it) ...The rest of the year- I don't want to carry the heavy weight of a winch. Have you considered a receiver hitch mount adapter, to which a winch plate & winch can be mounted, only when you need it? Of course, that type of winch plate mount is not as solid and heavy duty as one mounted between the frame rails.

Funy you say that - I thought it look weird too - when I took the pic. I think it is the camera phone lens or something because to the eye it looks perfectly aligned.

I think it is just an optical illusion thing.

looks great and defiantly original
id say you need a diagonal piece somewhere. to reinforce the structure of the stinger so if you actually use it it wont bend on you
