Default Front Bumper...First Mod

So i plan on doing my first mod on my '11 Sahara - Bright Silver. I'm looking to swap out my front bumper.

I would really like to see what you guys have on the front. Could you post some pics, and include the make and model?

If i do a front bumper with a winch mount, do i have to have a winch? Would it look funny without the winch? I personally don't think i need a winch, but those are some of the cooler looking bumpers.

Thanks for the pics!

I've got a Schrockworks Mid Front... but no winch in it yet. I have the winch, just needs minor work... but it doesn't look bad without one (just better with one).

This particular bumper has a plate you can buy extra to cover the hole. I just say its "in progress". (when is a Jeep ever done anyways?)

Some fronts look funnier than others without a winch installed. IMO, the bumpers that don't have a recess for the which look fine w/o winch (ex. Benchmark Designs). I think my Hanson looks funny w/o a winch but cool w/ one.

The Picture is of an 08 2dr JK x w/2.25" lift and spacers
Bumper is a Smitty Built SRC Tube Classic with a Smitty built XRC-8 winch & KC 8000 HID's

Keep in mind If you are running stock suspension, the extra weight of a winch/bumper will have you riding your axles in short time. The bumper and winch in the picture added 200lb too the front of my JK.. Result, my inferior X suspension dropped so low that It would bottom out on manhole covers on the front end..
I have since replaced the stock suspension as seen in picture, if you want pictures of what it looked like with stock suspension let me know.
Also consider once you take away your stock bumper, the probability of having rocks launch out of your tires causing body damage is severely increased. $1200 damage two nickel sized rocks on the highway @ 80 km.. Going to install chicken wire around my tube bumper ends to combat this issue.

I have a rock hard with the tubular extensions... it looked great without the winch and with...

the powder coat leaves me wanting more though, it flakes with rock chipps but it is very easy to flat black spray paint over and it matches.... so if i were to get this bumper again id rino line it before putting it on.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated.

It was mentioned that the bumper could add too much weight the front end with stock suspension.

Is there a weight that i should stay under so i do not have this issue.

thanks again.
