Have heard of people cutting a stock bumper and making it into a stubby...had anybody done this? Is do could you get me some info

I can't imagine that this hasn't been discussed and drawn out in great detail.

Here is an old thread that doesn't have pics anymore but has lots of writing.

Apparently you literally just hack off the ends and put on end caps. I know that there is more to it than that but measure out where you want your cuts and go for it.

Here are some pics. I used a rubber made tub for some donor plastic. Melted it back and smoothed the edges and covered the whole thing in bed liner.
Search on here there are a lot of threads on this.

There is actually less to it then that. Step 1: get sawzall. Step 2: hack off crappy stock bumper ends. Step 3: do nothing else and go wheel on a honda.

If you go onto the quadratec site and look up stubby bumpers, they sell the end caps. It also has a link on the how to.
