Thank God for aftermarket bumpers. Forget fancy shoes and lifts, I first want protection from dingbats (and mysfelf from time to time). Anyone not sure how effective a steel bumper is, just take off the OEM piece and ask your wife to try and lift it. Mine nearly flipped out. Her reaction also help to validate the purchase.

I don't know how you stopped yourself from crawling up his hood to just leave the JK on top of the Jetta. Would've made some quality pictures, and he definitely wouldn't have gotten anywhere.

DUIs tend to have a TON of paperwork, especially when there is an accident that he left the scene of - twice. It was probably a slow night and you never know what they guy is going to do.

 

I was hit from the rear twice and T- boned once all in the space of 9 months all by drunks. I don't drink myself & don't have a problem with folks who enjoy drinking- BUT NEVER GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A CAR IF YOU'VE BEEN DRINKING. If you get in a wreck and hurt someone or yourself the fun stops. To the OP: glad you're ok and I hope all turns out well for you and your rig.
