I do this about once a summer. Forget to put the soft top back up and a thunder storm runs through in the night. 
I just run without carpets for a couple days.
Good time to vacuum out all the kid debris that finds it's way under the rear carpet.

I agree. I was OC and for some reason I decided to put my top up. Thank God. They were not calling any rain and and the same storm passed through.
