Default Hail Damage Anyone?

A massive storm rolled through this afternoon and got the JK along with about 1500 other cars in the lot at work...I guess I'm lucky that the JK is pretty flat - it helped limit the damage.

Wish we could get that. New AEV heat reduction hood would be on the way!

Insurance usually pays out per dimple for hail damage. A few people have made out with a new aftermarket hood and some spending money. There are a number of different hoods available these days.

Since you ask the question:

May 2008

That is a quarter in the inset ...

Then this in May 2010 ... three months after replacing the hood with one from a forum member who had picked up the AEV hood ...

Fortunately, the very worst of that storm missed us by a couple miles ...

I hope that you get it fixed but why did you not put your cars in your garage?
