Having some fun in the Rubi
Got out with a group of 5 other Jeeps yesterday at a local wheeling spot. It was the 1st time I had been there, it was perfect for an afternoon of fun. Had some good hill climbs and descents on both dirt and rocky/gravelly terrain. I was able to make it up several hills that a couple of the others couldn't. In all fairness, they didn't have lockers, which made a big difference in a few areas. They were really impressed with the JK. I had to make what seemed to be some 10 point turns in a few areas to make it where they did, the LWB of the Unlimited definitely made it tight in a few spots, but nothing I couldn't deal with.
The 1st pic is my favorite of the day. It was a hill climb up a large mound of gravel, you had to straddle a washout area all the way up. Getting to the bottom of the hill in one area they said I only had one front and one rear wheel on the ground a couple of times. The 2 pics immediately below the 1st one is what lead up to that climb.

Thanks! Well I'm not sure what the limiting factor was, but I could have had a 6" longarm and still been 2 wheels to the ground. The place that happened, there was about 2 feet of air under my tires that were off the ground.

Still looking good out on the trail ... as you would expect from a Jeep!
Edit: actually, two are doing their own thing: the JK and the YJ (missed those rectangular headlights the first time).

I had that exact '87 Wrangler Laredo in "Garnet Metallic" with the chrome, etc. Owned it for a dozen years and loved everything about it. Makes me certain that I'll be getting the "red rock" color (no chrome this time!)
Great shots!
