has any one went custom suspension?
soon i am ditching the dana 44s and rancho tri link. im ready for the good stuff, dana 70s and for suspension, triangulated four link f/r and coilovers f/r.
my concern is the rear tri 4 link in the rear. i am not sure if this is possible because of the long gas tank. is the gas tank is in the way do you think extending the wheel base will bring control arms up enough to clear gas tank. or will i have to end up tossin the back seat and running a fuel cell. i have the 2 door jk by the way.

Very interesting.....
I was actually thinking of using the Full Traction brackets and having Venom Customs make the control arms with Johnny joints at both ends....and bending the arms for better clearance like in the old nth degree tj kits.........
also, There is a shop in utah that made a tri 4-link for a jk by removing the muffler/exhaust and placing the two upper links from the very back of the frame (like from the rear bumper area forward) to a truss system on top of the diff housing.....

Go to the Rock Krawler site and see if that is what you are looking for. Look at the TRIPLE THREAT LONG ARM SYSTEM.

Ill be tackling this project soon myself. With that massive tumor of a gas tank there is no reasonable way to go tri 4 link in the back with reasonable 4 link numbers even if you stretched it a foot. If it had a metal tank you could have a better chance of getting it done, but you don't. You could run a long arm setup with a radius arm type suspension but you would still be stuck with that track bar and it sounds like you are trying to get rid of it. What coilovers are you thinking about going with? The esp is most likely going to freak out so you'll have to bypass that. Why dana 70's, why not 60's? Bottom line, go fuel cell and be done. Remember you have evap that you need to keep happy
