Default Help with black hood decal

I really like the black hood decal that I've seen on the Arctic edition and on the older Mountain edition. I've seen a variety of sizes and approaches to these decals, some appear larger than others. Does anyone know if the OEM versions of the Mountain and Arctic hood decals are the same design? Thanks for any insights.

I would assume they are the same style/size. If you check out pixeldecal they have a really good quality hood decal that's exactly the same as the OEM ones.

I know a few people who have ordered this and love it.

I purchased mine through a 'popular auction site' and have been very happy with it. The install was very simple and I've never done anything like this before. Took about an hour to get it prepped and done right.

My issue with pixel and others is the cost, I have the ability to make and design my own for a lot cheaper. My version is just a little longer and actually comes down to the bend in the front of the hood just before the grille.

I can't officially sell here on the board because I'm not a vendor and don't have the funds to become one as this is not a full time job of mine. But you can contact me with questions.

Here are a few I've done:

There's a noticeable difference out here in CO where we get some pretty intense sun. That, and I just like the look of it.

Default thanks for all the responses

For me, it's really about the look although the glare issue might be valid (I'm in S. Florida). I've got a new 'winter chill' color JKU, and I like the look of this color with the decal on the arctic edition: 2012 Jeep Wrangler and Liberty Arctic Editions chill out in sunny SoCal

Default Just installed my hood decal -- looks great

These decals are very tricky to get set in exactly the right spot and to properly squeegee out the bubbles. But I took my time and got it perfect. I have a blackout theme going on my Winter Chill JKU and love the look of the hood blackout decal.
