Hideaway strobes???
I asked this in the electrical and lighting section and didn't get much help there... I'm looking to see if anyone has a picture of where on the rear lighting assemblies that you might have drilled a hole out for a hide-away strobe? I have searched the threads to no avail. I have looked mine over and don't really see a very functional place that wont interfere with the brake and reverse light? Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks
Thanks
robarham,
I am a volunteer fireman in my town and have installed hide a way strobes in the tail light assembly. It is very tight and requires modinfying the strobe light itself. Do you have a strobe pack yet? If not i would recommend getting hide a way LEDS they are a lot less smaller then strobes. I will try and post pics up Saturday of where I installed them. Another thing you have to be careful of is where you are going to mount your power supply. Mine is under my drivers seat. Due to having this in the car where it could get wet you should be very careful not to get the interior of the car wet.

Hey yeah I just did a set of hideaways - two, actually, per side. One sits in the Red and One (blue) sits in the clear. It is reallllllllly tight trying to get it in. Had to use a dremel to cut away just a little bit of the metal of the body of the jeep to allow it to sneak through.
My .02 on hideaways: Pay the money for the good stuff. Don't by some knockoff off of Ebay - go with a good Whelen or something... thats my only regret.
I also mounted one in each headlight directly under the lamp - which worked out well, too.
Best of luck!
