Love the home made design aspect. I'm thinking I'll be having to make me a set pretty soon with it being so hot out.

Wrote the manufacturer and the best answer they could give me was to put electrical tape on the door catcher. It does work but after spending over $500. on doors the electric tape left a bad imperssion on me.
The rubber is actually the top bushing part of a front shock. We have tons of that stuff laying around the shop and when I was looking for something to keep outward pressure I saw these and just kinda set them in there at first and they were pretty tight. So I cut off 1/4" of a bolt and welded it on the door and screwed on the bushing. works great and I only hear a slight rattle when I'm on really bumpy trails. Other than that they are silent on the road

Lots and LOTS of practice!!! I took a welding class in high school and fell in love with it. Been building and modifying stuff ever since. Anything from Jeep bumpers and cages to full blown race trucks. Thanks for the complement! Its always nice to hear that your hard work comes out clean and professional looking when you're a home builder!

There will be one or the other... Maybe both. I don't think it will be mesh though. If I want them covered up I'll do a canvas material. Something to keep the mud/water out.
