It may not be as flawless as the laser cut, CNC machined bumpers that many aftermarket companies manufacture; but I know that it is every bit as strong and likely stronger.
The platform was some 6" channel iron that was once used to support a building structure and 1/4" winch plate of similar material. The top and sides are skirted in 3/16" plate and 5/8" shackle mounts that are reinforced welded to the channel iron. I used 4" pipe to recess the factory fog lights into the bumper and welded tabs on the backside for mounting. Finally, I finished off with some semi-gloss powder coat black. Applied winch and supporting hardware and I now have a certified battering ram with a recessed winch. Thanks to Northridge4x4 for the winch.
It took about 30 hours to craft as I fabbed around the template I had in my mind. Here are pics of the final product.
