Alright! I like that. 
We had an early 90s Caddy and I used to tell friends that we use the hood ornament for a gun sight. When people would step out onto the street without even looking if traffic was coming from my direction I would laugh and look at the sight. It was like if they couldn't see me I didn't exist and couldn't run into them. Another pet peeve is people parking their cars and not looking before throwing open their doors and stepping out into the traffic. Again I would think about my sight on the hood and giggle. It helped me keep my sanity in traffic. It was a fun toy until one day while in a parking lot someone removed it from the hood.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Have fun with your new ornament.
