Hot Unlimited!
Ge99ne is on the right track.
I work for a company that builds large wind-farms (sorry city-folk if you aren't familiar). The nature of the work means we are almost always working in ranch land or wheat fields, off-road until we get the gravel crane roads built.
We have very strict rules that no gas vehicles are allowed off-road, only diesels like our company trucks or 4 wheelers (no catalytic converters).
This is at a site in TX where we are just about to begin work. Surveyers were at the site in a rented JK Unlimited driving through the brush, when they realized there were flames under the vehicle, and in the grasses up to about 100' behind them. They had no extinguisher in the vehicle (also in violation of company policy) and were unable to put it out.
Haven't gotten the official numbers but it is estimated that 500+ acres burned.
Great way for a subcontractor to make a first impression for us to the landowners.
Anyways, it's a good lesson to keep in mind any dry vegetation when off-roading, and always have a fire extinguisher.
Too bad a new JK had to suffer (although it was a 4-door so maybe it was put out of it's misery?).

Well, don't have to worry about that dry brush any more.
Where at in Texas? That flat land looks like it could be in my area.
Did you know from where I stand, it is so flat, that I can look East by looking West.
