Installing Evo Drag Link Flip kit and RK HD Tie Rod
So I've been dealing with steering shimmy and bumpsteer like many of you and I decided to pull the trigger on the new Evo drag link flip kit as well as replacing the weak stock tie-rod with the Rock Krawler one. I will have them installed tomorrow (I would do this in my driveway but it's covered in ice and snow!) I will post results when it is done and I've put some miles on it.
Cool looking forward to the feedback!
The evo Drag Link Flip wasn't out when I did mine so I went with the TF which has been great. RK TR is sweet except I'd like to see a future version that doesn't need to be removed from the vehicle when making adjustments which would save us some time.

I just picked up my Jeep and drove it home. Not enough miles to do a full evaluation but here it is. My initial impression was the ride felt firmer and more stable. Immediately I notice the handling is definitely improved. The bumps still felt harsh (need to dial in the right air pressure on my tires) but the bumpsteer feels more in check. I did hit one big pothole and got steering wheel shake but I'm also driving without a steering stabilizer. The stock one is trashed and didn't put it back on. I ordered a Tereflex replacement from Northridge. So, I'm hoping this will take the minor shakes out of the steering wheel. In the meanwhile, I will make some passes over the usual roads that cause bumpsteer/shimmy and compare to what it was before. A note on the parts: All the parts look to be very good quality and the track bar bracket is beefy. If anything, this bracket will strengthen the week stock track bar mount. I am very please so far with this kit.
I'll post more impressions as more miles are put on.

what i noticed after i did my flip is driving the jeep felt less jerky side to side as ur goin down the road. felt like the suspension was working the way it was supposed to, vs all the road input traveling up the drag link and track bar giving the jerky sensation.
mine as well felt way more solid!!

I did the EVO too and noticed some improvement off the bat. You really need to play with the trac bar to get everything correctly as I have to make a few adjustments when I did it myself. I am looking into tie rod and ball joints. Then DS. Then weld my gussets and sleeves. THEN 37s lol Damn shopping list

Got my Teraflex SS yesterday and installed it. The TF unit is much larger than stock and will handle the heavy Toyos with ease. I've been driving all week without an SS and what a difference when I finally got it on. It really smoothed out everything and now my Jeep handles great! No bumpsteer whatsoever which is the reason I installed this combination. The steering is smooth and responsive. The SS absorbs all the little potholes and rough roads that have been causing shimmy and bumpsteer. Now those same roads are no longer a bother. Driving on-road is fun again and I love my Jeep even more now! Now, onto better shocks to really dial in the ride comfort.
Here are some pics of the TF SS:

The Evo TB bracket has an alternative mounting point to relocate the SS up higher and out of the way. I then rotated the tie rod SS mount upward for better clearance and tucked out of harms way.
