Intro with pics!
Hey guys, new to the forum and figured I'd do a proper into/ show and tell.
First Jeep was a 2007 black 4 door, at the ripe age of 18 in 2010. Crazy I know but family caught a windfall so it was made possible. Thats where my obsession started. I didn't really care it was only 2wd at the time but as my obsession grew so did my needs for more off roading. While running a detail shop with my brother we owned in 2012 I sold my beloved Jeep and it would be a year before I got back into another one. While attending community college I didn't have much money, as most, so when I came across an old TJ for $6000 I snagged it as it was already modified and I could have a dependable off road vehicle without dropping any more money in it.
Later on I would drop out of community college to run an online business in the cannabis industry. In 2014 I had an opportunity to sell my TJ for 7000k and also managed to carry a 750+ credit score so I bit the bullet and purchased a used 2007 Jeep sport with 100,000 miles on it. I was living in Fort Morgan, AL at the time and with little money, as I was only my first year into the start-up, I began preforming every "free" mod I could find. I.e. removing the bumpers, most of the plastic, and got a cheap little 2" spacer.
Then I moved to Colorado and that where my Jeep began to run into trouble. With so many miles and nothing really done to it more than an oil changes the old components began to stop working. That where the hard work began, after replacing the EGR valve (WAS A *****), head gaskets and covers (WAS A *****), pcv valve, exhaust manifold, exhaust, spark plugs, coil pack, wires, gas cap, and radiator, track bar, tie rods, drag link, ball joints (Was a *****), o2 sensors, steering stabilizer, headlights, battery, alternator, and drive shaft it finally ran with no codes!
After getting the JK back working order just a few months ago, I now needed a set of tires. Current size was 33x12.5x16, preferable size is 40x15.5x 20 size I ended up getting was 37x13.5x22 for a steal off CL. $1900 for 5 rims and almost 4 brand new tires and a new matching spare. Was against the bigger rims but I'll admit this has grown on me.
Next mods are:
Rock Crawler Stretch Kit
A dana 44 for up front
a 60 for the back
Bigger brakes
Front drive shaft
supercharger or turbo
NX hardtop version
