After a fair amount of research on the best way to mount my ipad I settled on the Delkin Fat Gecko Gator mount and ipad holder. Gave it a go last night and works pretty well, nice floating look and holds the ipad firm. Keeps it in easy reach without blocking much and below the line of the passenger airbag. I may just drill a retaining bolt right through the clamp faces to ensure it doesn't work itself loose on rough ground but happy with it.- warning pictures show mounted on a RHD JK so don't be freaked out

Have you seen this from COP4x4? Its $239 but looks good.

Nice find! I might have to set this up. If you have an iPad set up you can run maps, music, movies, etc. So in my opinion it's definitely worth having.

I was going to say the same as above, Cop4x4's is awesome, and was designed so you can use the camera on the ipad as a offroad camera setup.

Cool idea but I'd either forget it and leave in hooked with the top off and it would rain, or get stolen, or I just flat out break it one day. Bet App Store has a recovery app now lol.

The COP 4x4 is definatly much nicer.

They need a notify police of location and arrest app. I've had an iPhone 4 and an iPad stolen at different times and locations. Those things are thief magnets.

They have find my iphone/ipad app, you can find the location of The device, lock it, clear its memory, and even make it ring and send it a message all from a computer.
