I finally purchased my popup last week. It has a 7 pin connector for the trailer with brakes. Do I need to get the jeep set up for brakes, etc? Its a 2k lbs camper. Pulled by a 2011 4dr jk

So i just picked up this 17' hybrid, dry weight is around 2400lbs. Im curious if anyone else that has been pulling campers about this size is using the superchips tuner? Im curious if the extra power gain is really worth the $200 you can get em for and if its noticable or not? After pulling this thing I can see I need to get any extra power I can (or get a real tow vehicle, which isnt gonna happen!)

I'm curious as well, though I have already bought my superchips, I haven't gotten our camper yet...the wife wants to wait a bit longer and get a better deal. I'm looking at a 19' Gulf Stream bunkhouse. Dry wt around 2700#

I love my Superchips tuner. I've been pulling my 20', 3,000 lbs. dry weight trailer all over California using it. I've pulled up to Big Bear Lake and even to Lake Tahoe. The pull coming up out of Tahoe is probably as tough a climb as you'll find anywhere. I can tell you there was a huge difference after I changed to 33" tires though. I pulled like a champ on my stock 32's. I've thrown in a few other performance mods (see my sig) to help, but that tuner is definitely worth the money. I got it primarily for towing, but I use the performance tune for everyday driving and the crawl tune when playing in the rocks.
