Yeah I own several 7.62s so know the sound. Less than 16" barrell = law enforcement, no?

No. It is a pistol. It has no stock. The device on the buffer tube is an arm brace. If not a pistol, you can get a short barreled rifle (SBR) if you pay $200 for a tax stamp and wait about 6 months for approval, assuming you pass the background check.

The pistol with a Sig brace is the way to go.

Ah. More than one way to skin a cat.

Sounds like the SBR is like getting a silencer. Pay tax and allow inspections anytime.
