Cool JK and CJ

Got me a new Project - 1980 CJ5. Just wanted to share...

"Hey, Poppy!! Wanna come out and play? Wanna? Wanna?"

"Yeah. I used to think I was tough like you. Now I know it."

Great Picture! Love the style of the old jeep. Just look at the inside of that one compared to the JK! Good Luck with your project should be fun

Nice Jeeps! That CJ looks to be in great condition. What do you plan on doing to it?

Cool Stuff

Still planning out the build. Trying to keep it on a reasonable budget. First I'm going to have to bleed the brakes, maybe replace the cylinder = got air in there somewhere. Then I'm thinking new suspension, wheels and tires this spring. Next fall, upgrade to the 304 V8, and make sure the transmission/transfer are good to go. Then the body = probably do a new steel tub with fiber fenders and hood to cut down on weight (maybe even a one piece). Linex the tub and then detail the interior. Should take me 3 years, but will likely take me 7 or so.

Anyone got the winning lotto numbers???

That looks like a fun project. I had a 78 CJ-5 that was a blast and started my jeep addiction. You will really enjoy the sound of a 304 with dual exhaust

Congrats on the project!! The options are endless.

I had to sell my project CJ in order to finance the JK upgrades.
