according to central 4 wheel drive that lift is also NOT for a Rubi....

and yea rancho seems to be the only one that says there lifts are model specific, what the heck is with that ? I'm with 2k2 what do they think is the big diff ? makes me NOT want to buy a kit that they THINK is only good for one model and not the other.....

the rancho 3" kit seems to be the most expensive 3" kit out on the market...

I don't work for Rancho, although I do work with them, as I also work for several others out there in the automotive industry as a photographer and graphic designer. If that makes me bias on my selections in your mind, then so be it.

No that is not Rancho's company vehicle (silver one), they have a black one that you have all seen in the SEMA images. So with that being said, I do have opportunities to use any lift that I choose for my personal Jeep, and did go to SEMA looking for the best kit, and truly think that their long arm kit is just that.

Everyone has their own opinion on what kit, accessory, or product is the best for them. Just because I work in the industry and might work with some of these companies does not mean that I (like you all) can not have my own opinion. If you don't like my picks, then post your own thread/blog and tell others what you like. After working with Rancho on several different projects, I truly feel that they have the best engineered kit for the JK. MY OPINION...

Oh yea, for those of you that have not installed a kit on a JK before, there are slight differences in the non Rubicon JK's compared to the Rubicon edition. I did a step by step install photo shoot on my JK at Rancho where they showed me the difference from their JK (non rubicon) to mine. For those companies out there telling you that their kits work on all JK models, I would be very hesitant. Do your home work before just slapping on any kit available on the market today.

As awesome as it would look on mine, I don't see the point of doing it to a 4x2.

Fair enough - please tell us why. I am sincerely interested to here your opinion as to what makes their kit the best. I would be grateful if you could please be specific.

Sorry, but I have personally installed a 3" lift kit on a Rubicon in Southern California (see write-up here: Full Traction 3" JK Lift Installation Write-Up) and quite frankly, you have no idea what you're talking about. The only thing I've been seeing you do here is pimp Rancho's lift kit on the backs of other manufacturers. And, for the record, Full Traction did test their lift on a Rubicon prior to selling it. In fact, you can see it in the current issue of 4Wheel Drive and Sport Utility Mag on page 56 and it was on display at the Off Road Expo back in October. :naw:

I don't know if I'd say you were exactly wrong, but I would say you didn't do what you said you were doing here. But, it's your choice as to whether or not you post here again. Certainly, no one I know has asked you to leave.

The ONLY suspension-related difference on a Rubicon is the swaybar disconnect. Extended links will work here, just like they do for all the other JKs. You could argue that spring rates are different, but Jeep has many spring rates for the JK and JK Unlimited running through the whole range, and every manufacturer is dealing with that.

Opinions are fine and welcome. Taking shots at other manufacturers is BS. :mad:
