Winter's getting underway here in Maine. Second storm in 3 days. Looks to be about 17-18" before its all through.

 

First of the year....

 

Not so much but it keeps accumulating

 

The handsome young man in the pic with the shovel digging away while the sun is setting in the background would be me This was right before Thanksgiving. The snow was only about 2.5 feet deep, but this particular stretch was out in the sun, so there were several thick layers of ice mixed in. With some incredible luck (and possibly some divine intervention) we got unstuck a few hours after the sun set. We had given up for the night and bundled up inside. started the jeep for warmth, and said WTH let's see if it'll move, and it did. Got a winch shortly after.
