I just ordered these axle shafts this morning (07/13) from RCV Performance because I am tired of breaking the "ears" on the U-joint assemblies (I've done it twice -- once on my original Dana 30, and now again on my upgraded Dana 44). Lifetime Warranty. Plus, they look cool (plunger or not).

Of course as you strengthen one part you create a new weak point in the next weakest link but I have seen these axles perform under extreme stress (off-roading) with guys running anywhere from 37"-40"+ tires. My ultimate decision was based on paying around $1k for these vs $8k for a front Dana 60. Hopefully I just bought a little (read....alot) of time before I really need to upgrade.

I guess 10 front gear swaps (through a shop) + these axles would = 1 Dana 60

Wait till you get them in... you'll never be able to go back to another u-jointed axle again. They are sooooo smooth!

How do you figure $8,000 for a front D60?
