Default At last the sun came out in England!

Hi all

We finally got a nice day in England and have never had the top off before so thought we'd give it a go -

You should have seen the faces as we drove past - was like the 'Yanks' had invaded again . Looking forward to getting the MB out on the 65th D-Day events so we can really remember those that fell in battle and honour them.

What are your d-rings connected to in the front?

I think those are the tie down rings that are on export JKs. They replace the tow hooks on ours. I have asked for pictures from other threads. I have not seen them except in the parts manual floating around this site.

Hi guys

Thanks for the comments

D-rings are attached to custom tow loops that I had made as the Euro spec JKs come with tie downs only so no good for offroading. Had to take them off to fit the tow loops but at least I know they'll stand up to a tug if needs be.

The Landy belongs to my father in law so we always have friendly arguements as to which is better - will admit the 4.0l V8 is an impressive engine! Down side is that it rusts like hell! I'll stay with the Jeep thanks.
