Which lift?
Spend a few weeks on the site and you will see the same half-dozen or so questions asked over and over again. What's wrong with doing the research on your own and actually reading some?
Btw, welcome to the forum.

When you word a question like that, it is just a waste of time to help.
I am surprised he started with rock crawler or teraflex. Then new guys generally start with Rough Country or Rubicon Express, then move on and ask the same vauge question about 2 different lifts over and over instead of learning about their jeeps so they can make an educated decision on what they need for their set up. And yes this question gets asked at least once a week along with with "what tires" and "what wheels".

Yes, the answer you quoted could have been put more nicely. Generally when folks join a forum it's a good idea to get a feel for the lay of the land before actually posting. Had OP done that, the first thing he'd have noticed (I hope) is that this sub-forum is not the correct place for his question. Second, had he gone to that correct sub-forum (Modified JK Tech), he would have seen right at the very, very tippy-top the post "My Thoughts on Lifts" (which is now reposted in post #6 of this thread, BTW--someone was trying to be genuinely helpful, but you chose to focus on the negative instead in your first post).
There is a certain exasperation for those of us who have been around here for awhile over folks asking the same questions over and over. But, let's face it: With over a quarter million threads on this board, the chance of asking a "never asked before" question is pretty remote!
Anyway, the current owners of the board, unlike the past owner, seem to have taken a more hands-off attitude towards moving posts into the correct forums (it was often annoying when sometimes a post could be considered as applying under two or more sub-forums, yet the moderators had final say). So, it's up to the members to exercise a certain level of discipline. We can do that politely, without the snarky remarks, and I hope folks choose to do just that. But, this is the Internet and that entails having to put up with a certain level of behavior. Please don't categorize all Jeep owners as being like that.

I know I'm not alone here when I say I am very appreciative for all the write ups, advise and expertise you all provide to guys like me who seldom post because most of our questions are already answered in some dusty archived thread started by a noob many moons ago.
