I love this bumper, and it looks great on your JK, but am wondering - does the spare have to be mounted that high, or is it possible to have it 3-4 inches lower? Thanks.

I guess if you really wanted to fab up a bracket you can make it mount lower if you want to....but people who get the tire carrier/bumpers usually have larger tires, thus why the mount is higher on the carrier to accomidate larger diameter tires. And with the cooler rack/gas can racks added on this tire carrier...you soon get use to not seeing shiet out of the back window lol.
