Brackets all welded up. Just need to weld them to the frame and gusset them in and cut out my old frame center section.
http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps0bmyqlg1.jpg Then just weld on my shock mounts and stand this thing. |

Well the start to the rear cage is here..
http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...pszlslx5c7.jpg Im still debating how i want to mount the rear shocks, but they will tie into the cage im sure... Frame Sections built so i should be able to cut out the part were the shocks will go... http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...psv6baiwca.jpg Will also be trimming another 1.75" off of the corner armor (side and back) to get a little more uptravel.. I dont think you can see the lines i drew in that last pic though... |
Looking good! Hopefully you get it drivable by the end of July. I like the yellow links.

Het Matt, I haven't visited your write up lately and really love the progress you have made. So, with the front on the ground, you are seeing, 2.5 inches of lift with a 16 inch coilover? I am having driveline angle issues with a 14 inch coilover and 5 inches of lift with 4 up and 10 down. You should take those tires off a measure full droop? Your exhaust becomes an issue. Anyway, let me know what angle you get, I am interested in how you solve for this.

Well heres the new full bump i plan on running...
http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps1nfxjc7a.jpg Now for where I am tossing ideas around... Debating mounting my shocks like this, but i cant get them angled in to much... http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...psbays8msj.jpg Just a tad... http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...psldcayv8o.jpg I could put a bar in the back like this, and put the shock behind the seat, but i believe it will angle backwards as it droops.... http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...psldcayv8o.jpg Either way looks like if I move my seat forward maybe 2 inches they would both work out a lot better... Any opinions? |
