Man Stick ( 6 speed Manual) Check In

I'll keep the diesel as it is just broken in at 56000 km's.........I bought my Jeep because it was too good a deal to pass up. Had everything I wanted EXCEPT for an auto. I'd love to have the exact same Jeep with an automatic transmission. I row gears all day long at work and just want to relax on my own time while driving. I don't feel horribly inadequate when I drive the wifey's Subaru with its lowly automatic transmission. Nor do I feel superior to all others while shifting my Jeep. I LOVE driving the Jeep. But I know I'd love it more if it had one less pedal.
I have a '13 Rubicon with the 6 speed manual. Every 4x4 I've owned has been a manual with the exception of my F-250 King Ranch.

My "other truck" 1951 Ford F-1 with a manual tranny. Been in the family since it was bought new by my great grandfather in 51.

I graduated high school in 2000. In 97 or 98 when my friend turned 16, her parents bought her a brand new Jeep for her sweet 16. She had knee surgery on her left knee which meant she couldn't drive a stick for a while (she knew how to, she got her license on her parent's manual), so her parents bought her an automatic Jeep. I remember her saying that they spent weeks trying to hunt down an automatic. Back in 2012 when I was looking to buy a brand new JKU, I was having to hunt for manuals. I don't rock crawl, so having a manual is fine for me. I haven't owned an automatic since before I graduated high school. I don't feel manlier driving a stick, I just prefer to be in as much control as possible when driving. Having a manual gives me a better feel for the road, and, in this case, off road, too.
