My '08 Red Rock 2 Dr. X build
#21
I bought the set that come with high flow cat's built right in them. Because I have a long arm lift we had to cut on the cross over and modify it a bit. The right side header is a bit tough to get on. Easier with the inner fender liner out. If your not running a long arm won't be to bad. And I have no heat issues. Nothing melting.

I guess I would compare it to when you first installed a tune with a Superchips tuner. I could notice a difference in my acceleration and pulled better uphills without shifting down. And my MPGs increased a bit. Keep in mind I install a MBRP cat-back at the same time. Costly but worth it to me.

Anyone have a mountain edition grill they want to sell? I want to do something similar to this.

I don't particularly care for a "blacked out" grill on the red rock color, so I'm not convinced I will like this on it either. If I can find one for 50-100 I can always resell if I don't care for it. If I do like it I have a back up. I still haven't parted with any of my stock parts. Idk why. What if's I guess.

Google 'JK inserts and bezels'. I like the look of the black bezels but can justify adding a nonfunctional piece of plastic to my grill. Makes me feel like that Asian kid down the street with his EXTREMELY over accessorized CR/V. Complete with hood mirror and every other thing he had room to bolt on to .
Although I may spray paint the jeep logo flat black, like this guy has done if I don't just remove it first.
