My K&N saved me from Hydrolocking! Next purchase is snorkel!
This past weekend I went wheeling with about 12 other fellow Jeepers.....I went through this muddy/water crossing at pretty good speed and then the next morning I felt i should probably check my air box.........the mud had clogged the drain holes and i attempted to bail it out with my mug......it was muddy water and at the bottom was about 2 inches of mud. I ended up removing the air box all together and washing it out in the lake. The box was a mess but on the other side of my K&N it was nice and clean.
I know it wasnt the smartest thing to do.....but
My next purchase is a snorkel.....hurry up Rugged Ridge!!!!!

Yup, I did the same thing a couple years ago. Finished a wheelin' trip, and decided that I wanted to hit one last muddy puddle before I hit the road. The puddle was much deeper than I thought with some ruts, and I sunk in. The K&N saved me. No water got past it. I just washed it and blew it out with a friend's air hose and was on my way a little later.

Great pics, Go K&N. If you aren't a deep over the hood water forder, drill a 1/4" hole in the bottom of the air box and let that stuff drain out. But then again, you never know when that deep water is going to present itself!
