One probably mounts to the side of the tire carrier frame, and makes contact with your stock spare bumpstop. dont know about another L.....unless its the big one that goes at the mounting point of the pivot spot on the carrier bumper spindle.

both should mount to the tire carrier and rest against the stock bumpers on the tailgate.
