My Rigid Dually backup light solution
Glad people are finding this useful. You could very easily install two of these lights on the stock tire carrier. If my cb antenna wasn't already taking up the spot on the passenger side that's what I would have done.
My wife liked the additional light so much that I am putting one on her Rubi.

awesome set up, a couple of questions:
1. Do the lights come with enough wire to run back to the battery/switch?
2. How did you run the wire through the tailgate?
3. Which site sponsor has these in stock for a competitive price?
Thanks,
D

Very nicely done. I have 1% tint on my rear window. I can barely see anything out of it. Especially at night. I was thinking back-up lights just mounted to the bumper but I like this too!
2. How did you run the wire through the tailgate? There are several ways. The first thing you have to do is take that black plastic cover on the inside of your tailgate off. that will allow you to route the wires to either the vents under your tire carrier or the extra hole on the tail gate that has a rubber grommet in it. Since i already had wires running into the that grommet I chose to go through the air vent.
3. Which site sponsor has these in stock for a competitive price? ORW - John is the rep. They are running a special right now for 189.00 for a pair of duallys with the wind shield brackets. I bought two sets of lights from them. You can order Flood, Spot, or Diffused from John.
Thanks,
Some of you may like knowing that Black Diamond Fabrication just created a great bracket for a D2 that mounts to the top of the stock taillight housing. Not too pricey and it's a simple and clean design. I know that's the route I'll be going once I get the cash for the D2's.
Oh, BDF only sells through Facebook. I believe that's the only "downside" if you even want to consider it one.
