I am running the 2 speed because i will tow it. Can't tow the 4 speed. I decided on the 4.3 low range ratio which will give me a slightly lower gear than a stock Rubicon when combined with 4.56 gears and 35 inch tires. Lower than this limits you to rock crawling and may make the reverse too low to be useful if you are stuck in mud and need to paddle out. I'll be able to run most trails in 3rd and 4th gear (I have a six speed), will top out around 20 mph at 3000 rpm in 6th gear, and be able to idle at less than 1 mph when I'm wanting to go slow.

Seer1 has a four speed that he is fiine tuning. I watched a 4 speed equipped Cherokee with 10:1 low gear creep up some obstacles on Fins and Things in Moab without ever raising the engine above idle. Looked very cool. I just don't see a situation where i will need 10:1 and then there is the towing issue.

What to you mean by can't tow, You can't tow with the jeep, or you can't flat tow the jeep.
why?

I also got the 4 spd 5.44:1, 2.77:1, 2:1, 1:1. I like the 2.72 that came with the Jeep about 75% of the time. The rest of the time on the trail I was wishing for a much lower ratio for downhill and some of the more challenging obstacles.

Now one word of advice is DON"T BUY THE ELECTRIC SWITCH OPTION! For as well as that thing is engineered the electric side sucks. The bracket does not fit the tunnel of the JK, the throw of the electric ram does not retract far enough to engage the low-low gears, the switch they send with it burnt out on the third usage and the second switch they sent burnt out on the first try. No there is no short, the electric ram works fine when I hook the wiring up direct to a battery.

Get the cable option for the low-low shifting instead. It will be a good bit of problem solving for you. I saw where someone had installed it under his seat. I don't think that would be that great if you were planning on actually using it much on the trail.

The installation kicked my ass. Make sure you have some sort of transmission lift and a friend is good to have around when you're stabbing it. Make certain you have a stubby ratchet for the top two bolts. I didn't and it took me almost a day to get them out. I found a stubby flex ratchet at NAPA and reinstalling the top two bolts only took a few minutes.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but if you have any more questions don't hesitate.

Nope, it's the same size as the stock T/C. It'll go in any JK as long as you say the right curse words in the right order.

Yeah, delivery's anywhere from 4-8 weeks. It's too bad you're so far away. I'd loan you my stock one to use until the Atlas showed if you could pick it up.

So I can guess I'll have to pay close attention to where I'm at next time I hit the switch. I used it only twice. Once just because it was there. I did not install mine as they installed it for free with the Hemi swap. Well $125 but that was wiring the lockers and the Daystar switch as well.
