Default New guy............

Thanks for the add gents! I live in Omaha NE, and own a 2013 JKUR "Blue"

Ive been to EJS/Moab on 5 seperate occasions, and the Rubicon in CO on two occasions, both in the mid to late 90s, as I sold my then current rig, for a sporty car. The civic Si I had for 8 years and loved it, but the desire to mod it was nil, and I didnt touch it in 8 years other than some tinted windows. (Ive had 11 Hondas so far, and this is my first American car in probably 20 years or more)
I hated the looks of the JKUs when they first came out in the mid 00s.....................but as time wore on, I started to LOVE the look of the longer wheel base of the JKUs. After 2012 when FCA put the 3.6 Pentastar in the JKs, & got rid of the probematic 3.8I was hooked. I had to get one, and really felt the need to get back to my days of yore, on the trails @ Arches and in CO.

I found Blue in CO, and drove my Civic Si up to Littleton CO to pick him up. Drove him back in a SEVERE thunderstorm with driving rains that followed us all 8 hours back home, but the trip ended well, and I have been smitten w/Blue ever since.
I have only had Blue since June of 2015, and have already made some mods, including flat fenders, quick release fire suppression, a new OEM soft-top, and a "hoist-a-cart" from Lange, that not only holds the hard top, but also holds all four doors and the Freedom tops (apologies for the low light crappy pic) :

Had to relocate the quick release fire suppression, as the initial install interfered with the soft top retraction:

I have also made my own custom RotoPax set up, with a double stack 14g steel mount for First Aid & Water:

Again thanks for the add to the site, and hopefully I can contribute as well as learn!

Haha, thanks jedg. I plan to! We are FULLY booked at the Canyonlands camping park in Moab for EJS 2017. Looking forward to it more than any trip Ive planned in a lot of years!

We dont have a lot of crawler wheeling areas around NE, but am planning some other trips to CO as well for some wheeling and camping.

Thanks Johathan! So far its holding up about as well as I could have ever expected. Im going to be investing in some PSC stuff, including one of their body mount spare carriers, that has some RotoPax mounts on it as well...................
Im reserving those for two 2 gal red Gas pax when I get the extra cash. (haha on the extra cash)

Cheers
