NEW - IPF 920H4 JK Headlights!!
Hmmm, I'm not so sure. I have a Lexus with HID's and the difference between those and the lights in the Jeep is pretty significant. As you observed, it's not just a matter of light intensity (lumens) though that is pretty significant, the HID's create a much whiter and wider light pattern and the light is more even throughout. The HID's also last a lot longer since there is not filament to burn out. My Lexus is 5 years old and the original bulbs are still going strong. The are significantly more expensive when they do go out. Someone at the dealer told me they were about $200 to replace, though he didn't specify whether or not that price included labor.
looking at the comparison on the first page....I saw a similar difference simply installing silverstars. I have installed HID's since, but would like to see a side by side with these new lights and a $30 pair of silverstars in the stock housing.
X2 that's why I would like to see a night shot from inside the vehicle
X3 or X4 or whatever for a shot from behind the wheel looking down a ROAD with no streetlighting. IPFs are on order but some confirmation of how much better would be good. Running PIAA extreme whites and it's minimally better than stock. Can someone PLEASE do this? The PIAAs look great against a garage door also, but on an open road even my wife asks if my lights are on. It does look like the bottom cutoff is lower, meaning more light closer to the vehicle so there is no more need to use fogs in normal situations.
Please???
Please???
