New Lift + 35s + Some questions...
But won't you need it for the recal (speedo) of the new tires? is there a way around that?
Just another update -- the TPMS system has officially submitted to my beckoning. My 2008 Sahara TPMS system is no longer complaining about the lack of 5 TPMS sensors. It flashed it's light for a few hours and maybe 10 starts, and then it gave up and no longer complains. I'm really happy I didn't HAVE to buy the $130 AEV ProCal to disable this feature.

Bizarro: I will be wheelin this weekend so I will post up if I have rubbing issues. I expect at full flex it will rub the outer fender tips. This is because of the backspacing so the wheel cannot tuck. With a 1" BL or a 1" taller lift, you're right, it wouldn't rub the fender (it won't even need to tuck at full compression). As for gearing, dude, seriously, just get the 35s. I cannot believe how non-different it feels. I love driving this thing and it feels like it hasn't changed a bit in its peppiness or torque. When wheeling it may be more noticable, so I will know this weekend. I could see more torque being helpful when on the rocks and trying to get over something that is pushing back on my tires real hard, but otherwise, there is NO NEED TO REGEAR with this setup (3.73+automatic+35s). Even my wife agreed it feels the same and no need to spend $1500 + the cost of a AEV or Hypertech programmer... So that is like $1600+ we can put towards something else, like a new front bumper and winch perhaps..

tbfreebird: Well, I used the Miata.net tirecalc and I figured out how far off my speedo is. It is about 5-5.5mph off. So when it reads 60, I'm going 65. I told my wife and we will both just remember to keep it a few less if need be. It is not a big deal. Sure the AEV or Hypertech would let me fix this, but right now it is not warranted. Maybe some day when I have more money to burn..

Dude - Scott - I gotta say, I was originally inspired by your Rig..
Actually, I like the conspicuously placed red stuff and was thinking I might paint my calipers red too. I hope to eventually get some red lower control arm mount skid plates too...

Hey, I got red shock boots if that helps!

I love red and black and silver and sometimes white, when it works with the others.. I have always loved the black on black. I used to have a blacked out Civic Si with these sinister red city lights and suspension pieces. I've always loved that look, even as far back as the ~1991 Nike Air Jordans... I hope to do some more red inside too, like lights. Although I got the thought about doing some green accent lighting and making it look all UFO monster truck like..

I'm in TX though so a ways away from you.. I'll tell you what, I'll rep the Central and you can have Mountain and West Coast.. Deal?

Without patting myself on the back too much (I do that a lot my boss tells me), I have to say we have the sweetest looking rigs on all of JK forum -- BY FAR!!! Sorry all you other SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!

OMG this thing is messing with me now!! I swear!!
This stupid thing just came back on today. It was off all day yesterday but it decided to come back on today. What does it only take a day off at a time?!?!?

So now to tally the score for the last 3 days since I took the OEM wheels (with sensors) off:
Day 1: TPMS 1 Me 0
Day 2: Me 1 TPMS 1
Day 3: TPMS 2 Me 1
Grrrr!!!

Maybe an AEV ProCal *IS* in my future... Or else - Anyone in Austin have an AEV I could borrow for 5 minutes?
looks damn good man ive got a sahara same color and auto as well. Im going with the same lift and either those wheels with the machined face or the black xd spys. I think im going with the pro comp extreme a/t's though i hate hate hate loud tire especially in my jeep. I just picked up so used 33's for cheap only a hundred buck but i can't stand the sound of them. But you jeep looks sick im impressed!

First off, I don't think anyone can hold me to that and it won't hold up in court either. Everybody's car ends up with slightly different tires than the factory at some point, even if only temporarily. A good example of course is a spare tire.. So the same argument could just as easily be applied to those situations. They could have a few extra miles. Who really knows.
Anyways, if it is an issue, I will just cough up the $130 then and get the AEV and set it properly. I'm not planning to sell this thing anytime soon, so I will worry about that later.
