Default New Rubber! :D

So am a wee bit excited. Bought my 2012 JK Feb 14th (well that's the possession date). Things progressed pretty slowly. Most of the mods were cosmetic until the bumper and winch went on in Nov. However I sold my stock Rubi tires, and scored a wicked deal on a set of Iroks (33-13.5-17). Which was the only reason I decided to see if I could sell my BFGs. Figured if I could do it before my buddy sold the Iroks to someone else, then great. If not, I'd stick with my stockers for a while longer.

Well I sold them pretty quick, and thus I got my new shoes today! The price difference was $450 for all 5 - and they're still damn near new (all still have the nubs on them). Not my ideal tire... and a tad wide - especially with the Smittybilt flat fenders - but for $450, I couldn't pass them up. Only down side... the side of my JK will never ever be clean again. Will have to go to the dealer to get them to change the tire size. I should just buy a procal, but am being cheap right now. JK is a 2012 auto with 4.10s.

Stock suspension, 1.5" spacers, stock wheels, 33x13.5x17 Irok Super Swampers.

Great deal on the tires, they look great.

You can usually pick up a Procal for $100-$200. Dealers usually charge $50-$150 for reprogramming. Then you'd need to go back and pay again if you get new tires or regear down the road.

Thanks. Am really stoked. Can't wait to go wheeling tomorrow to test them out!

I'll see what the dealer's gonna charge me (probably ~75 - if I remember correctly from when I did my 07). I'll likely wear these tires for the next year or two (likely two - considering the cost of new 35s). It's just that for right now (over this summer) things are tight with 2 weddings and a grad, and my summer vacation that are all happening. If I didn't have an auto, I likely wouldn't even bother. And while it's not to bad driving around today (I didn't really push it at all), I'd still likely to get it corrected before I go south in June.

From what I've heard, I shouldnt' have to regear with 35s and 4.10s on the 2012.

Besides, I've been eagerly waiting for a SuperChips (or something similar that I like) for my 2012. Loved the one I had for my 07. I'd rather not buy a Procal then buy something that does most (if not all) of what it does a few months later.
