No More Mail Truck!
Ah, 3.73 gears. That's it.
I like the look of a polished, machined wheel. With the steels, it was either chrome or black. I'm not partial to black wheels as most of my Jeep is black. Worked out well, I think.

Whats your MPG averaging hwy\city & overall?
So you were just making fun of mail Jeeps , but you don't have a mail jeep
MB 72's.

Making fun of the skinny and small stock tires that come with it because stock Sports remind me of the right hand drive mail haulers. So yes, you could say I was making fun of that.

Everyone hates the stock tires. Mail carriers just have a pretty good reason for running the small tires and usually keep that size. Some mail carrier Jk's are on the forum and most of those are running 265's. I'm fortunate to have long enough arms to be able to reach the low boxes even with 35's and the lift.
The MB72's are actually alloy not steel, which makes them a lot lighter and MPG friendly than steelies which are HEAVY. Which is one of the reasons I switched from black rock steelies to the MB72's.

I know the MB72's are alloy. As I stated, I didn't get the steel wheels because they were only offered in chrome or black.
I understand the reason why mailer carriers would want smaller tires. I just didn't want my Jeep to look like that anymore, hence the title.

I just installed some 265/70R17C1 Duratracs this weekend.

To save a little coin, I mounted the tires on the rim myself, then drove (slowly) to Wal-Mart for their $6.50 lifetime balance.
In other news, I'm hitting the road to Colorado tomorrow for the Ouray Jeep Jamboree.
I'll have solid numbers for my gas mileage after a few days on the road.
