Northridge builds Search & Rescue vehicle.
David has done an awesome job of helping me figure out the right mix of cost and performance for my Search & Rescue rig I'm upgrading. As you may or may not know Search & Rescue is an entirely volunteer organization, as members we buy all of our own gear. While the work we do doesn't take us into the kind of extreme wheeling situations that some of you are in to, we do put a lot of miles on our gear and often times a life depends on how well it performs. Keeping this in mind, David gave a lot of advice and input on which parts would help keep the costs and weight down while also being dependable and high performing.
After a lot of input from him I finally pulled the trigger and am taking my rig to him next Monday to get the following installed:
I'm having a custom front windshield light bar made for a remote spotlight and additional emergency lights and will likely pick up a few sets of lights from David at the same time as my build. I'm still working out the details.
Additionally I will be installing an aluminum front bumper with winch hoop and rear aluminum bumper with tire carrier from Aberle off-road.
Finally, if I can resolve whether or not my existing switch box interferes with the TrekTop, I will be ordering that as well...
Of course, I will post pictures once it all gets installed.

- OME JK Long Travel Kit (with adjustable track bars, swaybar links, extended brake lines, and more)
- Warn M8000 with Viking Synthetic Line (in safety orange for high visibility when used as rigging for a subject extraction)
- IPF Headlight upgrade
- ARB Recovery Kit
- Hi-Lift Extreme Jack & Isolator
- Warn Receiver Hitch
- Rugged Ridge front/rear floor mats (to capture all the muck that falls off our boots during a mission)

Step 1 complete.
I spent most of the day over at Northridge while the team there installed the lift. During lunch David drove me over to see the new site - it looks amazing. The crew at Northridge is great and the new site is going to be an amazing facility. David tried to play it cool but he was definitely really excited.
They finished shortly after lunch and I grabbed the rest of the gear I picked up from them and headed home. Now just waiting on the bumpers to come in...
In the mean time I'll be installing an 87 Octane tune from the Superchips programmer, some MBRP windshield light mounts and Ridgid LED spot's and a few other odds and ends from David.
HUGE thank you to David and the gang at Northridge for the great deals, great service, and great hospitality. They are truly a class act and I'm excited about the next set of upgrades David and I talked about.
I'll post up some pictures soon...
