I have a JK.. not a U... but I did a ton of research on dropping down to 15s...

I haven't read of anyone having to change rotors or even brakes. What you need to be aware of is if the wheel you choose has a design and/or backspace that leaves it hitting the caliper carrier. For some, a spacer or a light touch with a file or grinder on the carrier is enough to clearance. Some 15's simply won't fit. The vendors are pretty good on what will and won't fit, but not 100%... hence there are a few threads on what 15's will fit. Then it becomes a matter of tire size and lift...

Great looking Jeeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Question for you guys.

How do you like those GY Duratracs? They look to be a good "middle of the road" type tire or All Terrain? Im looking for a tire closest A/T tire to a M/T but they will be on my DD JK. Any suggestions?

Mine is a DD as well.. but I get some off-road time when I hit trails for remote photography locations. Mostly flat stuff so I can't comment on hard-core crawling.

My objectives were... Good in all weather conditions; acceptable in sand and soft pack; quiet; a round profile when stretched on the 10" wheels; good wear. I got exactly what I wanted. For once!

I went from the shop that installed mine right out for a 300mile trip south. Lots of it highway, the rest on loose pack. The DuraTracs are dead quiet on pavement. They drove the same as wimpy tires I had on the stock steelies. I full expected the steering to feel extra heavy, but it is totally stock like. I can just start to hear them hum, ever so faintly, as I hit around 70 m.p.h.

In the rain they are just fine. No worries and not a second thought with them. Haven't seen snow yet.

Can't comment yet on wear as I only have them a short time, but I can say that unless something changes dramatically I will buy another set when these wear out. But from what I am reading, I don't expect them to wear out soon!

$187 per tire from DTD. Added the replacement certificate thing just in case NY roads jump up and take a bite out one of the tires.

Default Level 8 Tracker

One more question for you guys.

I am looking to get these------> Level 8 - Tracker rims in 15x8 127 (5x5). The offset is -30 and BS of 3.32". In your opinion do you think there would be any issues with those measurements? Anyone know of anyone running these? I am debating on the MB72's but these but these look better to me.

Thanks for your help!

I'll be joining the 15" club! I'm going with cragar soft 8 397 series 15"x10", 4" BS with general grabber at2s 33"x12.50. I'm going to order them when I get back from England which Is in a few weeks time. I can't wait, I feel giddy like a school girl just thinking about it!

You guys with the flat black mb72's did you paint them yourself? I only see them available in silver or gloss black with machined silver ring.
