Old Jeeps rusting away...
Found these while sweeping the AT4/SWAW range aboard Camp Lejeune, NC. Makes you wonder where they have been, what they might have been involved in before coming to rest here. Always cool stuff in mpact areas.

Oh sadness and pain! I had that exact vehicle from 1985-1988. Greatest heap of rust that ever roamed the trails. If I'm not mistaken, it is a 1977 Cherokee Chief (SJ). Totally badass. I had the same paint scheme - silver & black exterior, light blue interior. It had a 401 V8 and got around 10 mpg. Dana 44s front & rear, 31" tires w/o lift... Always wanted to restore it but the rot got too advanced.

That is some sadness isnt it, I just hate seeing those old jeep sit and rot. My dad knows a guy with about 4 or 5 of the old military jeeps. We keep saying we're gonna go see if any can be salvaged but never make the time
