Default Pic Request: 2011 tailgate mechanism

Hey all,

A bunch of people did the tailgate mod with the gas shock to keep your tailgate open on pre-2011 JKs. It looks like Jeep recognized the problem and added the feature to the 2011s... Can someone with an '11 take a couple snap shots of the mechanism, I'd like to get a better idea of how it works, and if I can added it to my 09.

Thanks,

Thank you!

I was thinking the same thing, it would be interesting to see whats behind the sub woofer enclosure, but it doesn't look easy to get to.
