Thanks - that looks good. How are the MTZ's on the road? Noisy, any experience in past with treadlife? I like the looks of these but most my driving is on the road - prefer an aggressive look but may go A/T just for comfort, treadlife, noise.

noise isn't bad at all to me. i have soft top/mtz's and still only use like a 13 or 14 on the radio at 70 mph. i think mickey thompson really prides themselves on their treadlife. check out their website. however if it's a big deal they make great a/t too i'm sure. my wife drives it about 14 miles a day so i'm not worried at all about treadlife. i love the look of the tires. go ahead and PM me if u want more pictures or have any more questions. i'd love to hear from ya.

Is anybody running cragar 397 17x9 with a 5" backspacing? I got a great deal on some 285/70/17 all terrains and I am worried about them rubbing on the street. I see see some of you are running the cragar 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing I dont know which one to order??? I like the extra rim width but worried about it rubbing. I have these tires sitting in my garage just waiting to mounted.

Looks great! I had no idea the 16" alloys (what I have as well, and love the look of) would fit on 255/85. How's the road noise on those?

Is anyone running 285/75r16 on the stock rims? Im worries about the rim width at 7". I ordered some Mickey Thompsons Baja MTZ, and M/T reccomends 7.5-9" wheels. Im wondering if I need to scramble and buy some new wheels.

Hey Racer,

Found them on eBay, called the shop direct and ordered them. West KY Customs, the spacers are from Quadratec.

Was the 1" spacer enough to prevent rubbing? I have been looking at the same tire and spacer combo. I'm a little more comfortable running the steel spacer but they are only made in 1".

Hey Shortbus,

Yea, 1" was enough. Ditto on the steel spacers, seemed like a better idea than aluminum.
Also, I went ahead and had the spacers powder coated along with the wheels - painting
would've worked but I was already having the wheels done, so why not.
