You can use INDEX or NOTE cards for the same effect.

Yeah... I had an old deck of cards that were gonna get trashed anyway but I'm gonna have to use index cards on the other wheels. Thanks!

You don't have to tape the tires off or use index cards. The plasti-dip will come off the tires easily.

So what do you do to keep the lug nuts from pulling off the plastidip?

I did mine a while back (January). I also went with the black Gorilla lugs. Mine is the silver.

Yeah no issues at all. I've had a couple of wheeling trips in and they seem to be holding up just fine. Only areas to have issue at this point are around the seats for the lugs as I've rotated the wheels twice since then.

This is exactly why I gave up after doing one wheel, after installing back on my vehicle the lug nuts pulled the plastidip completely off as the dip wrapped around the nuts.
Pulled all the Plastidip off and went back to Home Depot and bought a real spray paint and they came out perfect. Can['t imagine wht the first rock encounter is going to do to the Plastidip when it starts scraping it out.

Interesting material but not for me.
